Revenge for the Steelers.(dec 15th)
Sunday night at the Hallam Fm Arena,the Sheffield Stelers heaped revenge on the Belfast Giants beating them 6-1.Following the 4-1 defeat in Belfast
1 day earlier it was important for the steelers to get a good result and they did just that.The goals came from Scott Levins with a hatrick,Timo Willman,Kent Simpson and Chris Szysky,But the highlight of the night for all steelers was when Rhett Gordon was provoked enough to beat the living daylights out of Shane Johnson in the last minute,as usual Johnson was annoying the steelers but i dont think he will be doing that again. |

STEELERS V PANTHERS FINAL!!
Roll on the 26th of january.As a result of last sundays Semi Final games at the Hallam Fm Arena the steelers will meet arch rivals the Nottingham Panthers on sunday 26th of january at the Manchester Evening News Arena in the Challenge Cup Final with a 2.30pm face off.In last weeks semi finals the Panthers beat the Belfast Giants 3-2 too book their place in Manchester and the Steelers beat the Knights 5-4 after OT and penalty shots.

The Sheffield Steelers booked their challenge cup final place beating the London Knights after penalty shots.A good crowd off 5145 in Sheffield saw a 4-4 tie in regulation,steelers goals coming from Levins,Carllson,Simpson and Jason Sessa.So after 5 minutes of overtime when the score was still 4-4 it would go too penalty shots,Warren Norris got the winner,to make the penalty shot final score 3-2 too the steelers. |
